Class, Event and Workshop Preparation
Self Study classes are facilitated from a trauma-informed lens. We aim to start and end at the stated times and to open and close the experience as a container with all participants present. This allows us to meet one another, develop a level of trust in vulnerability, reacquaint with house rules + community agreements, and to ground in and open connection and presence with our body-mind-soul. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time to allow you time to find parking, check in, greet your neighbors, transition + settle into the space.
Most experiences are facilitated with a peer-to-peer sharing approach. The conversation and flow will be guided by the facilitator(s) and there will be space for questions, sharing, and to expand perspectives in the conversation. We believe that each person’s experience and perspective are valuable and as a community that centers liberation and agency, learning from lived experiences, cultural views, and ancestral wisdoms, in addition to fact based information we welcome consensual and conscious conversations. Below you will find details to support you for your upcoming class, event or workshop inside the Self Study Lab.
